I reblogged the post regarding the movie Redhead Randy about a gay high school kid who gets bullied so much he commits suicide and then comes back to avenge his death on those who made his life miserable.
While I am happy to see a movie that targets anti-bullying and especially anti-bullying of the gay community, I couldn’t help but wonder if this is really going to help or hurt. So, here are my concerns/questions.
1. Will teens even get the point of this movie or will it be just another slasher film that they watch and forget ten minutes later?
Anybody who has ever seen the movie Carrie can attest that very few people made any life altering changes after seeing that movie and she was tortured at home and at school. Teens may have been unsettled by the film but they shake it off and follow the path…
